    • For a couple of days, I kept tracking every hour of the time I’m awake to understand on what I spend my day.
  • I did it to find my time killers and how long it really takes me to do something compared to the time I have scheduled for this activity.
    • It’s not news, that most of us have a tendency to underestimate the time we need for a task.
    • Unfortunately, I’m not that close to my ideal time allocation and I need to work on how to change it for the better as soon as possible.
    • There are a few factors that affect my use of time: First, I don’t have a work-life balance.
    • I don’t have strictly scheduled working hours, studying hours, and scheduled time for fun and ”me time”.
    • Because of this, my usual day is a mess and when I think about what task to pick next I become nervous because of the load and deadlines.
    • Second, unfortunately, I have a tendency of putting things off until the last moment and committing procrastination on a regular basis.
  • Sometimes, because of this behavior, I have to sacrifice time for sleep to complete assignments or work projects on time.
  • There are some strategies that I will definitely implement in my life to manage my time effectively: I will use my calendar planner and daily to-do list.
  • I have them for a long time and tried to manage my time using different technics.
    • Once I micromanaged my schedule and become a slave of my Google calendar, but this time I will use it more concisely and in accordance with my priorities and my bio rhymes.
    • Also, I will definitely schedule a time for socializing and time for myself when I can do something just for fun.
  • I will break up large projects into small pieces and schedule time periods to complete them long before the deadline.
  • I also will schedule additional time in case if something will go wrong.
    • I see it as doable parts of a large project that I can complete one by one by spending from 2 to 6 hours of the scheduled amount of time on a daily basis.
  • I will reward myself after I did a certain amount of work that should be done on that day.
  • For example, I will allow myself to read a book just for pleasure, to watch a couple of episodes of a TV-series, or write something just to let my imagination go.
    • It’s crucial to reward myself only for completing all tasks that were planned otherwise this strategy is not going to work like the acquired reflexes of Pavlov’s dog.
  • In order to develop this habit correctly, it is also important for me to learn how to plan an adequate number of tasks per day.
  • Not too much, but not too little that life can turn into a series of continuous unproductive rewards.
    • Poor time management causing me a lot of stress.
    • It’s pity that we have touched upon the topics of time management and stress management only now, although this should have been done at the beginning of this course.
    • Perhaps it would have helped not to ruin my life through some bad study habits and poor work ethic as much as I did during this course.
