There is point of view that a person who fluently speaks foreign language can easily work as an interpreter.

But I think that even if a person is fluent in a foreign language it is not enough for successful work.

Firstly, good interpreter should have skill literary translation.

Translate should be not only correctly but also beautiful.

Everybody who wants to become interpreter should understand that any computer can translate any text but only people can keep beauty of Shakespeare’s poems when these poems translate to other languages.

Secondly, interpreter should know many other things except language.

For example, history, literature, politic.

It is important for interpreter because one wrong word can became a cause of war, for example, if you translate a speech of the president or change meaning of text if you translate science literature.

Also, translate of the important texts or of the speeches is big responsibility and it may be difficult for some people.

To sum up, a person who is fluent in a foreign language cannot become interpreter without any difficulty.
