    • My personal experience on choosing a major

    • Thinking about a major may be a deep reflection, I mean, we tend to see this reflection as a turning point in our lives, and indeed it's true to a certain extent.
    • Because it's a moment by which we try to define ourselves looking to the future in order to foresee the best for us.
    • I know most of people go through this moment by choosing a major at college, so that was kind of my case.
    • When I was younger, I used to think that, so I tried to be honest about what I had always been interested in.
    • I chose History.
    • It had always been really cool for me, so studying it at college was really attractive.
    • But not always everything goes as planned.
    • Over time I realised that I was more interested in Languages rather than History.
    • I figured it out when I took a Nahuatl class and several papers were written in English.
    • So oddly enough I pushed out myself to learn English in order to learn Nahuatl language.
    • After going out of college, I decided to learn English seriously.
    • I didn't want just to read it, I wanted to speak it.
    • On April 2015, I changed my major I wanted to become into an interpreter.
    • I became a self-taught person in order to reach a fluency in English level.
    • Two years have passed and now not only I can read it, but also speak at advanced level.
    • I feel really proud and accomplished of myself, because I've become into a committed person to his goals.
    • I make some mistakes yet, but I always try to move foward and be constant on what I enjoy doing.
