  • I am currently writing a thesis about a very controversial subject.
    • As you know, American cinema has been swayed by Japanese culture (The Western Genre and 時代劇 seem to share many similarities, for example) but, in this process, many things have been changed deliberately.
  • In fact, every single "remake" has some peculiarities: Americans are citizens of the world; White people VS The Others; All of the American characters are wealthy with privileged social positions and all of the African American characters are domestic workers.
    • When Americans show Japanese, this process is clearer: "Pearl Harbor" was a little racist and there were stand-out speeches that point out the pride as an American citizen; In "Godzilla" (1998) they deleted every single value and it became another monster who wants to destory USA, In this dissertation, my purpose is to explain why Americans have "contaminated" all these movies and how they have created this process (especially when they have to describe something about USA-Japan).
    • For my graduation thesis, I did a lot of research, especially in archives and libraries but, unfortunately, I couldn't find something about it.
