Humans releasing CO2 into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels have brought those amounts back up a little bit.

That might be one of the reasons for temperature rising worldwide – but many other factors contribute to global climate transformation: changing amounts of solar energy received by Earth, human influences – like deforestation, agriculture, urbanisation or raw material extraction – and many others.
