  • Living in Madrid

    • About 4 years ago, I had the chance to travel to Spain to participate in a course that was of great relevance in my student life.
    • As a spanish speaker, I assumed that the course would be given in my language.
    • However, when the first day of classes finally came I was in awe because the teacher started to speak in english.
    • By that time my level of english was quite bad, despite I try to give a shot, the people who was surrounding me were almost fluent and it was terrible when the teacher started to ask to read or to answer some questions, moment in which I looked for the better place to hide myself.
    • This obviously because I felt that I wasn´t capable to overcome those kind of situations.
    • Moreover, my teacher was borned in Liverpool, so that make it worst due to I had to struggle a little bit harder to guess the real meaning of what was she saying.
    • I kept going over 4 months searching for a relief or a solution that could give me a better taste of what was doing there.
    • Without having the most accurate tools to tackle the problem, I realized that when the course finally end I would be enroll in english class.
    • Real life and a globalized world push us to adopt and make the english language ours, not only because you will get a better job with high wage but also because if you don´t speak english you´re not on the map so that brought me here.
    • In the end, it´s funny after 4 year, I'm still learning and fighting to be fluent in this incredible language hoping I can make it.
