About the structure of a scientific paper (please correct :))
- The final paper should start with a cover sheet.
- On the cover sheet the topic should be provided as a headline, also the author should be named.
- Depending on the size of the final paper you have to decide if an abstract would make sense or not.
- An abstract is a short abbreviation of the papers topic.
- It is a short overview about the problem and the solution of the paper, like a summary.
- For short papers, I would recommend to relinquish of the abstract.
- After that the table of contents should be followed.
- The general structure of a papers content should be a short introduction, where the topic is explained.
- After that the principal part with the work itself should follow.
- In the end a conclusion should finish the content part of the paper.
- The conclusion could contain a summary and a lookout e.g.
- Finally a reference listing with all your sources, a list of figures with all your figures and a code listing if available should complete the paper.
