Please review a poem written by me called Indifference
- Alas, indifferent were they.
- To the non-decaying toxic filth around them.
- To the deafening noise and pollution where they lived.
- To the cry of countless animals and birds which were killed for money, food or merely passing enjoyment.
- To the helpless cries and tears of mother nature, blinded by their endless greed and callousness.
- To their own sons and relatives mutilated or killed in one bloodthirsty war after another.
- To the haunting spectre of an anonymously regimented and fully mechanized society.
- To an education which produced men which act like machines and machines which act like men.
- To the giant economic machine which sucked all beauty, spontaneity and joy out of fellow human beings.
- To universal human suffering blinded by delusions of class, caste, creed, color and nationality.
- To the everlasting human cry to reach its fullest noble expression. Ah!
- So utterly indifferent were they, to their own callous indifference.
- Indeed, neither their masks of love nor hatred were true except their cold, calculated and deathlike indifference.
