    • One day, out of the clear blue sky, Lauren asked her mom for play baseball.
  • Her mom taught her how to play baseball.
    • They went shopping for a new leather softball blove, a shiny, with softball (which really wasn't very soft at all).
  • Mom said : "Watch the ball very closely".
  • Lauren tried but she couldn't catch it.
    • Mommy threw the ball many times but Lauren didn't catch it even once.
    • They had a breaktime.
  • They drank lemonade.
    • Lauren was bouncing around the yard, she yelled: "Throw the ball some more Mommy, I'll catch it this time." Mom threw the ball right at Lauren's glove and she could catch the ball.
  • Lauren hopped and jumped and shouted: "I caught it. I did it!
    • I did it!" Mommy swept Lauren into her arms and twirled her around in a great big circle!
