Should the elderly receive free bus rides?

• From an economical point of view it is a disastrous proposal to provide the elderly with free bus rides.

• Not only would busses become to full to sustainably transport the people, but also would transportation companies suffer severely from the fall in income.

• From an social point of view it is a great idea to provide old people with free bus rides, because with that governments give the signal to be there for their inhabitants rather than ruling them.

• Although it seems to be a good idea from this point of view, it must be mentioned that it may causes problems.

• When older people get free bus rides and are a majority of the population, whereas younger people do not and are a minority of the population, there may arise feelings of social inequality.

• In my opinion it is a bad idea to provide the elderly with free bus rides, because the senescence can't be ignored.
