Bear with me on this one cause it's gonna be a looonng story (at least for an "essay" on this site).
If you don't want to correct any mistake, just simply read this for your entertainment.
Alright, let's start.
Almost everyone might has a best friend, the kind you want to share you deep dark secrets and even laugh together.
More importantly, when you meet a friend like that, you'd think there's no way you'd let this one go from your life and cherish your friendship forever.
But you know what?
Life is not such a fairy tale.
The day I've decided to cut him off is also the day I realized one important life lesson: Relationship only works if both sides make it work.
I was the one who put a lot of effort into our friendship, he didn't.
When we were still friends, I almost always spent every weekend with him.
We would occasionally hang out at the city park, but most of the time, we'd go to the coffee shop in his neighbourhood and talk about different weird stuff.
Years passed and one day I realized something odd about it: I was ALWAYS (yeah, you read it right) the one who do the inviting and scheduling, he just simply waited to be called.
To avoid making any misunderstanding, I want you to know: Yes, he did enjoy our time together A LOT but just simply didn't feel like doing the calling.
If you know what a neckbeard is (if you don't ,just search it on urban dictionary), he was like a neckbeard (not one) without a beard nor the douchey,entitled attitude nor poor hygiene.
But besides them 3, he had almost all of the bad traits: Timid, passive-aggressive,lazy,lack of social skills...
However, I still gave him more chances.
But as the time passed, he started to ignore my phone calls and didn't even return one.
His reason were:
"Sorry, my phone battery died and when I saw your missed calls it was few days ago so I didn't want to call back"
"I didn't take my phone with me and when I saw (the same reasons)"
"I set my phone on vibrate and when I saw(THE SAME REASON)...."
So I decided to text whether if he still take this friendship seriously or not, I quitted calling him and waited.
He didn't call back.
That was the last straw.
He's studying overseas now, but before he went away, I was upfront about everything to him and tell him the "Reationship works only..." as an advice (I don't know if he took it, but I don't care anymore).
However, it's not like I hate him now, I still think of him as a friend, it's just that he no longer take a special place in my heart anymore (I used to be very worry about his relationship with his girlfriend, made him a workout routine while he supposed to be the one making it)
