  • A day not so normal

  • It was a day like the others for Georges, a banal day.
  • After he had finished his work at 6pm, he had taken a drink in his favourite pub, and had bet for his favourite football team.
  • He even had won some money with his gamble.
  • When he came back home, the neighbours dog was biting the plumber who was knocking at the door.
  • The man started to bleed a little and Georges thought that it was not a good day for everyone.
    • After a good diner with his wife and his children, he went to the bed and fell quietly asleep.
  • In the middle of the night a noise awoke him.
  • Someone was beating at the door: the house was burning!
  • Fire-fighters arrived quickly, and some neighbours brought support too.
  • When he realized what was going on (happening) he burst into tears and thought that his life was broken.
  • But a while after, Georges started to think that this could be the beginning of a new life.
  • He bought a piece of land, built his own house and became a more attentive father and husband.
