The inclusion of physicians in the network is expected to have an impact on their practice by itself because of the Hawthorne effect.

This, in addition to the non-response bias would affect the external validity of future epidemiological studies carried on with data gathered by the network.

Though we will implement measures to attenuate this phenomenon, it is expected to remain in an uncertain magnitude.

Nevertheless, this will not be detrimental to the projet execution as its main aim is to improve patient’s care and participant physician’s awareness of drug safety in older patients.
