Charitable Evening

• Last year I offered the school administration to make a Charitable Winter Dance Event and they liked this idea!

• Organising a non-profit event was a lot of hard work for only myself and so it was vital to gather some friends together to help share the load.

• We spent evenings in school decorating the hall and preparing entertainment programm, then came time to sell tickets.

• Administration had chosen a diseased boy for whose medication raised money went.

• Almost all of the money went to charity, and only a tiny share of it was spent on decorations of the ballroom.

• We spent a lot of effort to advertise the event and have made video clip, painted posters and etc. It was very important to dispel the stereotype of boring school discos, because the first association was with it.

• Our efforts have borne fruit: in the corridors we have seen girls who were discussing what to wear on ball and boys, who invited the ladies.

• Last week was held in suspense, the work was in full swing.

• Daily rehearsals, the finishing touches in the decoration.

• And that day has come!

• Everything went on the high level.

• There were school bands, various competitions, we invited a photographer, videographer and professional DJ.

• All course they worked for free.
