Studying abroad
- 1) Why did I choose that type of stay and what obstacles did I face?
- At the beginning I wanted to go abroad to be a French Language Assistant in Australia in my final year (L3) because teaching is my dream job and because I really want to go to Australia.
- While doing my research on the CIEP website, I read that all the applicants must have completed at least a first-cycle (Bachelor’s) degree at the time of application, so I had to forget this option and look for another one.
- I discovered that our university has an agreement with James Cook University in Townsville, Australia.
- I almost jumped for joy when I saw that !
- My husband and I have planned everything : he would come with me in Australia with a Working Holiday Visa to try to find a job while I study.
- Unfortunately, everything have fallen down when I have learned that I could not apply to this student exchange because I don't have 9000€ in my bank account.
- I was really dismayed (and I still am !) and I decided to opt for Birmingham.
- I love England, the university offers great courses and all the students I have asked about life there told me it was really nice.
