Alberobello's trulli

• The trulli are famous all over the world because of their loveliness and uniqueness, at the same, time they are an example of straordinary popular Italian architecture.

• In the historical period where the construction of fixed abodes was prohibited, those who lived in that land showed a great ingenuity and ability to adapt “inventing” precarious houses built with the local stone, the trulli.

• Each has a different form and dimension.

• They are often detached or joined together creating a communicative complex.

• Most of them have conical grey roofs which end up with a sphere or semi-sphere.

• The single-chambered interior collects niches for the fireplace, the bed and various furnishings.

• Their structure allows an excellent indoor climate: fresh in the summer and cosy in the winter.
