  • Reading fiction is more enjoyable than watching a film.

    • Among thousands kinds of pastimes most of people prefer reading or watching films.
  • But which one is more enjoyable?
    • People are convinced that reading is much more useful than watching films, because it makes us well-educated, helps to improve language, gain patience and develop imagination; besides we can learn about lots of incredible stories from books!
  • So it is undeniable that books are much more useful, but being useful doesn’t mean being enjoyable.
    • It goes without saying that reading a book can take quite a lot of time from several days to several months.
    • Some people read slowly thinking about almost every sentence, others just don’t have enough time for reading because of their busy lifestyle.
    • Meanwhile watching a film takes just several hours in comparison with reading a book.
  • It is not so hard to find some free hours in the evening and watch some film, which will give you as much emotions as a book.
  • Moreover if you watch some box-office hit with brilliant cast or gripping plot such a film can be even better than any book in the world.
  • Very often when you read a book you may feel that something is left out, especially if you have poor imagination.
  • When you watch a film there is nothing left out as words are translated into speeches, flesh and blood.
  • Moreover watching a film turns out to be a very fascinating thing with the help of beautiful costumes, scenery, fantastic whiz-bang effects and scores.
  • On the other hand we can often hear from people that films “kill” our imagination.
  • Indeed when we read a book we try to imagine the setting of the story, the appearance of the personages, their costumes and some other things.
  • With the help of our imagination we create the whole world together with the author of the book.
  • This opportunity is the main joy of reading fiction.
  • Unfortunately, when we watch a film everything is already created by the director and all we need to do is just to watch it.
  • In conclusion I should say that in my opinion it is more enjoyable to watch a film.
    • The constant development of cinematograph offers us a wide choice of high-class films, so we should enjoy such a great opportunity to the full.
