Live and learn.
It is a very right proverb.
People go through different stages of education during their lives.
They may vary in different countries or a person can choose the preferable ones by himself.
I want to tell you about stages of my education in my country.
I think, it was my first stage of education.
In my kinder garden we had special games, which helped children to learn something new, we had some extra classes where our nurses taught us to draw pictures, make handmade articles, read fairy tales and legends for us.
And when I grew up a bit I was moved to a senior group.
There we were taught to count, to learn poems by heart and read.
When I was six years old I was ready to go to school.
It was a comprehensive school with a profound study of English.
There we learnt English from the first grade.
I liked my studies there, because it was always my dream to learn English.
As my mum says, I chose that school by myself.
I spent nine years in my school.
While getting primary education, the pupils of our school had such subjects as Mathematics, Russian, English, Literature, Folklore, History, Natural History, Physical Culture, Arts and some others.
For us, children, it was very interesting to do our tasks, because they were as a rule very creative.
During the secondary education, a lot of new and complicated subjects were added such as Algebra, Geometry, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, French, English literature and culture and so on and so forth.
When I finished the ninth grade I had quite good knowledge of my native language and two foreign ones and of physics, because these were my favourite subjects.
When I finished school, I decided to go to the gymnasium.
So I entered the Gymnasium of young researchers.
I studied there for two years and got a great deal of useful skills, knowledge and experience.
This gymnasium is well known as a humanitarian one.
I dare say it is a real gold-mine of information.
There I had the best teachers from different universities, who taught us History, Literature and the Russian language in a very deep and intensive way.
There were some extra subjects which we were able to choose according to our preferences, such as Philosophy, Stylistics, Journalism and others.
In this gymnasium I tried to learn German during our fascinating studies with an experienced teacher.
And both two years I took part in the conferences with my research works considering Russian literature of the Silver Age.
What is more, almost every month different occasions were held.
Among them were theatrical performances of our students, initiation into students, talents competitions, evenings of poetry, etc.
Finally, after graduating from school, I entered the Teacher’s Training University, where I am still studying.
Now, I am a sophomore.
I am studying at the translation department.
Studying at the University is the most important stage to my mind, because this is a place where I can bring to perfection my language knowledge and get the necessary professionalism.
There are a lot of special subjects there, such us Practice of oral and written speech, Grammar, Phonetic, Oral translation.
Each of them is an essential part of our studying at our department.
From the beginning of the second academic year we started to learn Spanish, which is a new and fascinating language for me.
The students of our department have a lot of home assignments and have to work very-very hard, but I think that it will do us good in future, because this hard work at University will help us to be the best interpreters.
However sometimes I want to have a bit more time for my social activities.
All in all you can see that I went through quite a lot of stages of education.
And each of them was unique and brought me some specific and necessary knowledge, experience and left a great deal of unforgettable memories.
I only hope that studying at university won’t be the last stage of my education and I will go through some other ones during my life.
