The question about negative aspects of television has been widely discussed in recent years.

Some people believe that television destroys family life and reduces sense of community.

According to surveys, up to 79 % of people spend their free time in front of TV.

The overwhelming majority of people prefer to relax after work watching TV shows or programmes instead of sharing their problems with family.

This example clearly illustrates that television could have a negative effect on family life and become a reason of misunderstanding between family members.

Moreover, thousands of people, especially unemployed individuals, become addicted to television and spend all of their time trying to forget about current issues watching TV shows instead of trying to come up with problems.

Addicted people prefer to stay away from their families; they stop taking care and responsibilities about family members.

On the other hand, there are more people who addicted to the Internet and this kind of addiction is much deeper.

Furthermore, television is a better way to relax after work day then spending free time in bars or pubs.

Taking all these points into consideration, I would say that I absolutely disagree with this opinion.

There are more dangerous kinds of spending time and television isn`t the worst of them.

In any case, I don`t believe that television could destroy families.

Not the one person who watches television is responsible for family life; other members take this responsibility in equal shares.

It means that we should care about our partners and sometimes ask them about their problems, we also can involve them into union family activities, try to figure out their mental condition and help them to come up with any problems.
