The development of EVs presents a double opportunity for France: it will contribute equally to the fight against climate change and to the restructuring of the automobile industry, actually in crisis.

The development of low-carbon vehicles should generate an economic activity of € 15 billion by 2030 in France and contribute to maintaining employment in the automotive industry.

In addition, we expect the reduction of oil imports by about 4 Mtoe and CO2 emissions by about 17.5 million tons by 2020, representing a reduction of 3% of French C02 emissions compared 2007 (a quarter of France's commitment in reducing C02 emissions by sectors not subject to CO2 quotas).
