  • Places I want to visit

    • Lapland (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia) Thought to be the homeland of Santa Claus, Lapland is a region in northern Scandinavia, divided among four countries.
    • In Winter, it becomes a paradise for who loves snow, its amazing landscapes get all white and it just seems totally magical (though really cold...) Moscow (Russia) Moscow is huge, noisy, vibrant, scary, passionate, sad and colourful at the same time.
    • And not only, besides being the capital city of Russia, it is also the economic and cultural centre of the country and has 11 million inhabitants and a complex and eventful history.
  • Plus, there are some architectural and historical treasures I absolutely want to visit someday.
    • Hopefully I can go there as soon as possible… Bath (England) Bath is a small town in south west England.
  • Declared World Heritage by the Unesco, it is famous for its baths (of course), but also for its theatres and cultural life.
    • It’s an historical and typical English town situated in one of the most beautiful areas in the country.
    • Hamburg (Germany) Situated in northern Germany, Hamburg is the second largest city in the country and the eights largest in the European Union.
    • Called “the northern Venice”, Hamburg has actually more canals and bridges than Venice, London and Amsterdam put together.
    • It’s also well-known for its cultural importance, its many churches, museums and parks and its typical German architecture.
  • Santorini (Greece) Santorini is a small island located between Greece and Turkey and belonging to an archipelago, which is the remnant of a volcanic area.
  • It’s one of the most touristic places in Greece, mainly because of its white and blue villages set on the cliffs, its wonderful landscapes, its important archaeological heritage and its enjoyable climate.
  • Norway Norway is a Scandinavian country bordered by three seas (the Barent Sea, the Norwegian Sea and the North Sea).
  • Its rugged coastline is broken by huge fjords (“Deep grooves cut into the land flooded by the sea”, Wikipedia) and thousands of islands.
  • Though it has a large territory, its population only reaches 5 million inhabitants, most of the country being dominated by mountains, glaciers and rivers, which makes it a natural paradise of calmness and wonderful landscapes.
  • Cadiz (Spain) Cadiz is a city in the South of Spain and one of the most ancient European towns.
  • Its port is one of the most important in Europe.
  • It’s an old and typical southern Spanish city that stands on a peninsula jutting out into a bay and is almost entirely surrounded by water.
  • Over the centuries, it has been inhabited by many different people (Phoenicians, Romans, Visigoths, Moors,…) who made its architecture very diversified and its history fascinating.
  • Brussels (Belgium) Capital city of Begium and of the European Union, Brussels is famous for its architecture, museums and cultural life, in addition to its great chocolates, beers and comics.
  • It’s a relatively small and rather modern capital where it’s pleasant to walk around and visit its many well-known monuments like the Atomium, the Manneken Pis, the Palace of Justice or the Triumphal Arc.
  • Naples (Italy) Naples is the biggest city in southern Italy and the third mots-populated in the country.
  • It’s situated next to the sea and its port has a great importance for trade in Europe.
  • The city has an eventful history because of all the invasions it has gone through due to its strategic location.
  • It’s a full and vibrant city full of typical Italian treasures such as small shops, narrow streets, beautiful places and friendly people.
  • Besides, it is close to the historical site of Pompeii and the Vesuvius volcano, and its bay is a wonderful sight on the Mediterranean Sea.
  • Annecy (France) Located in the South East of France, near Switzerland, Annecy is a small city cut by three rivers and bordered by a lake.
  • Full of bridges, simple buildings and flowered balconies, it is a charming town where it is enjoyable to wander among the nice places and narrow streets.
