Discover the Enchanting Kuragari Toge Trail: A Journey into Nature's Embrace

For centuries, the Nara-kaido Road has linked the vibrant cities of Osaka and Nara, weaving its way through the mystical Kuragari Toge, also known as "The Pass into Darkness" on the majestic Mt. Ikoma.

Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of rustic farmland, tranquil forests, and breathtaking montane wetlands as you traverse this historic pathway. Along the route, be captivated by awe-inspiring views of Osaka City from the scenic viewing decks, and encounter charming shrines and temples that whisper tales of bygone eras.

Our adventure also includes a delightful visit to the Lucky Garden Cafe and Restaurant, where you can indulge in a delectable selection of food, drinks, and desserts. But that's not all! Prepare to be charmed by their adorable goats and sheep as we spend time feeding and playing with these lovable creatures.

To ensure your comfort throughout the hike, we recommend wearing sturdy and comfortable shoes. Don't forget to dress warmly and bring an ample supply of water. You are welcome to bring your own packed lunch or opt to purchase delicious meals at Lucky Garden.

11:45-12:00 Disembark at Hiraoka Station, take a break at vending machines and restrooms

12:00-1:30 Hike across Kuragari Toge towards Lucky Garden

1:30-2:15 Enjoy a delightful lunch and playful moments with the animals at Lucky Garden

2:15-3 Continue our hike to Hozanji

3-3:30 Explore the wonders of Hozanji

4:00-4:05 Take the cable car down to Ikoma Station
