=> From 10pm: Debate/Discussion

Debate on Kazakh cinema, and on the role of art in contemporary Kazakh society, with the main actor of the film!

"The Tale of the Pink Bunny embraces the visual playfulness of Guy Ritchie
and Wong Kar-wai." (Film Maker magazine)

"Without a doubt a worthy cinematic product in which Hollywood genre
standards have been successfully applied to Kazakh reality. And for Kazakh
mainstream cinema in general, this is clearly a sign of progress." (KinoKulture)

Those who think that the worlds "Kazakhstan" and "cinema" only belong in the
same sentence when Borat is involved might need to think again.

In recent years Kazakh films have experienced a massive up growth in
popularity throughout the central Asian region. Now the new wave of Kazakh
film makers is looking to Europe with the release of a mainstream movie
about the life and times of the gilded youth of the Kazakh city of Almaty.

Participation is limited to 150 participants!
