Welcome to the Friday World Folks Meetup! Join us every Friday to meet over 40 expats, tourists, and locals who are eager to make new friends, have fun, and learn new things. This is the perfect opportunity to engage in lively conversations, share your views and opinions, and connect with people from different backgrounds.

Don't worry if you're new or unsure about your language skills. Our friendly hosts will be there to welcome you and introduce you to other attendees. You'll quickly feel at home in this vibrant community!

We have reserved an area at Tims Coffee House for the Meetup. Simply ask the cafe staff for "Language Exchangers Shanghai" and they will guide you to us.

Here's how it works:
A. RSVP and make payment on Meetup before attending.
B. Show your purchased ticket to the host for check-in and receive a wristband.
C. Order at least one drink before finding a seat.
D. Introduce yourself, start conversations, and enjoy free chat with other attendees. Feel free to change seats midway.

Ticket Costs & Payment Methods:

Online on WeChat mini-program: Get a ¥5 refund on-site if you RSVP before Thursday 11:59 PM on Meetup.

**All tickets include a complimentary drink. Refunds are only available if the event is canceled. If you can't attend the event you paid for, your credit can be transferred to the next event on the same day of the following week, only once.

Check-in Time: 6:45-7:45 pm (@Eric, please inform the group chat if you'll be arriving between 7:45-8:15 pm. No check-ins will be accepted after 8:15 pm.)

Our WeChat community consists of over 2900 English enthusiasts from more than 16 countries and regions in Shanghai (including China, the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, and Italy). Among them, 50% are returnees and overseas Chinese, 25% work in foreign companies or foreign trade, and 25% are foreigners. The education level is approximately 65% master's or doctoral degrees and 35% bachelor's degrees.

We choose Meetup as our main platform and registration channel because it is the world's largest event platform, attracting millions of event enthusiasts worldwide. Shanghai is also a gathering place for foreigners and returnees, aligning with our original goal of building a truly international community. Event Time: Every Friday from 7:00-9:30 PM (Please arrive 5-10 minutes early)
Transportation: Take Line 1, 12, 10, or 13 to South Shanxi Rd/Middle Huaihai Rd station. Exit 3 and walk for 7 minutes.
