When it comes to ordering, tasting, and mixing drinks, it's more than just a basic social skill at a party – it's a way to enjoy a great evening and share your personal taste in life.

But with a wide variety of cocktails and methods, without systematic learning, the mysteries remain unknown.

Cocktail Tasting and Mixology Workshop

New and old friends at PET are eager to participate in cocktail-related courses to fully understand cocktails. However, such courses are scarce and expensive, making it unnecessary for those who want to increase knowledge and add fun to life rather than becoming a professional mixologist. Therefore, we have specially designed the PET signature cocktail workshop. Led by the IT industry guru Simon, who brings the most informative, practical, and cost-effective cocktail tasting and mixology workshop in Beijing. Spend just 9 hours to gain a comprehensive understanding of cocktail knowledge and culture, and under the guidance of the instructor, craft several classic cocktails. Transform from a novice drinker to a skilled cocktail connoisseur who can both taste and mix drinks – shining bright when taking friends to the bar. If you're willing, you can even follow in Simon's footsteps and set up your own home bar/cocktail parties, becoming a fun and knowledgeable party animal.

Workshop 1: Cocktail Culture and Tasting

You will learn:

The past, present, and future of cocktails, understanding cocktail culture
How to evaluate a cocktail
Get to know the bar work station, familiarize with cocktail tools, practice basic mixing techniques
Learn to make Gin & Tonic, Mojito, Whiskey Sour
Introduce yourself, recall the first cocktail you ever had

Workshop 2: Cocktail Classification and Social Etiquette

You will learn:

Learn the six base spirits of cocktails, the different types of long drinks
Practice blending, stirring, shaking, and straining techniques
Learn to make Tequila Sunrise, Negroni, Gin Fizz
Introduction to social etiquette to observe at Cocktail Events

Workshop 3: Advanced Mixology and Cocktail Party

You will learn:

Learn about wine, liqueurs, beer, and their roles in cocktails
How to host a home cocktail party
Create your own signature cocktail
Learn to make Aperol Spritz, Martini, Cosmopolitan
Open discussion among participants to share their understanding of cocktails over the past 3 weeks

Certified Mixologist Exam: Written Test + Mixology

You will receive:

A PET Certified Mixologist certificate

Become a PET Party intern mixologist, attend PET's cocktail social events, meet like-minded individuals, and expand your horizons
Mix drinks for your friends for free, and charge for mixing drinks for others

Simon is the epitome of a multi-talented individual, having worked in a renowned American company for over a decade, he has become an IT industry guru; loves running, completing 9 100km runs; enjoys movies, watching at least 100 a year, and writing thoughtful reviews; loves hanging out at bars and mixing cocktails, after systematic learning and practice, he became a certified mixologist, setting up a personal bar at home, mixing a drink to unwind after work every day, and often inviting friends for climbing sessions.
