Cocktail Tasting and Mixology Workshop

PET's new and old friends have always been eager to participate in cocktail-related courses to fully understand cocktails. However, such courses are scarce, and the cost of learning is often high. For those who simply want to expand their knowledge and add excitement to their lives without becoming professional mixologists, it's not necessary to spend thousands or even tens of thousands. That's why we have created PET's unique cocktail workshop. Presented by Simon, an IT professional with both artistic flair and a professional mindset, this workshop offers the most informative, hands-on, and cost-effective cocktail tasting and mixology experience in the city. In just 9 hours, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of cocktail knowledge and culture, and under the guidance of the instructor, you will create several classic cocktails. You will transform from a novice to a skilled cocktail enthusiast who can both appreciate and mix cocktails. When you go to the bar with friends, you'll be the star of the night. And if you're willing, you can even host your own home bar or cocktail party, becoming a fun and knowledgeable host.

Workshop 1: Cocktail Culture and Tasting

What you will learn:

The past, present, and future of cocktails, understanding cocktail culture
How to evaluate a cocktail
Getting to know the bar counter and cocktail utensils, practicing basic cocktail techniques
Creating Gin & Tonic, Mojito, Whiskey Sour
Introducing yourself and recalling the first cocktail you ever had

Workshop 2: Cocktail Classification and Social Etiquette

What you will learn:

Learning about the six major base spirits and various cocktail types
Practicing techniques such as stirring, shaking, and cutting
Creating Tequila Sunrise, Negroni, Gin Fizz
Introducing social etiquette at cocktail events

Workshop 3: Advanced Mixology and Cocktail Parties

What you will learn:

Learning about wine, liqueurs, beer, and their roles in cocktails
How to host a cocktail party at home
Creating your own signature cocktail
Creating Aperol Spritz, Martini, Cosmopolitan
Open discussion among participants to share their understanding of cocktails after three weeks of learning

Simon is a typical versatile individual. He has spent over a decade working in a renowned American company, becoming an IT guru. He loves running and has completed nine 100-kilometer races. He enjoys watching movies and writes thoughtful reviews after watching at least 100 films a year. He is passionate about bars and cocktails. After systematic learning and practice, he has become a certified mixologist. He has even set up his own private bar at home, where he treats himself to a cocktail every evening and often invites friends for climbing sessions.
