Join us every week as 250+ individuals from 23+ countries gather for a language exchange, making new friends while practicing language skills over a drink.🍻

Experience the welcoming community atmosphere at New To Melbourne, where members are friendly and eager to help newcomers. Bring a friend and practice languages together :-)

Our free language exchange takes place every Wednesday night, with affordable food & drinks available from 6pm for those interested in dinner.🍻🍟

What is a language exchange?

Join us for a language swap to make new friends and learn a new language in a casual setting over a drink. It's best understood by experiencing it firsthand, so come along!

Arrive at 6pm to engage in language practice activities while groups form.

===== EVENT FORMAT =====

Upon arrival, receive a badge indicating your native language and languages you wish to learn. Place badges with your native language on the right and target languages on the left, then mingle and exchange languages!

Bring: Pen, paper, and positive vibes!

Age Group: 18+

We're seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist in welcoming new attendees. Enjoy free beer, drinks, and food while mingling with a friendly volunteer team. First-timers are encouraged to apply - many of our volunteers are newcomers too :-)
