Be polite in Polish[edit | edit source]
How to be polite in Poland
If you want to say sorry (when you want to ask about time or to apologise for something), you should say "przepraszam".
For example:
- "Przepraszam, czy mĆ³gÅbysÅ powiedzieÄ mi, ktĆ³ra jest godzina?"
Excuse me, could you tell me what time is?
- "Przepraszam, nie chciaÅem (said by a man) / nie chciaÅam (said by a woman)
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do this (when you make a mistake)
