Be polite in Polish

How to be polite in Poland

If you want to say sorry (when you want to ask about time or to apologise for something), you should say "przepraszam".

For example:

  • "Przepraszam, czy mĆ³głbysś powiedzieć mi, ktĆ³ra jest godzina?"

Excuse me, could you tell me what time is?

  • "Przepraszam, nie chciałem (said by a man) / nie chciałam (said by a woman)

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do this (when you make a mistake)
