What are Greek Voices Verbs?[edit | edit source]
Verbs are words that state something about the subject of the sentence and may express action, event, or condition.
The citation form of the Greek verb is denoted by the 1st person singular of the simple present tense.
Greek has two voices: the active voice, when the subject performs the action expressed by the verb and the passive voice, when the subject undergoes the action, tense and mood.
Deponent verbs are verbs which are Passive in form, but are Active in meaning.
