La correction d'une personne - Respectful attitude of a person
In this case "la correction" means "the good, polite, respectful attitude" of a person.
- Cette personne manque de correction.
This person lacks politeness, respect
Une maison de correction - Correctional house
- Cet élève à commis des actes graves. Il a été envoyé dans une maison de correction pendant plusieurs semaines.
This student has committed serious acts. He was sent to a correctional house for several weeks.
La correction des yeux - Eye correction
- Un oculiste fait une correction de votre vue.
An oculist corrects sight
Prendre une correction - Be punished
- Il a fait une bêtise et il a pris une bonne correction.
He made a mistake and was severely punished.
