Adjectives
The way to say your feeling about something is easy when we use adjective. In Indonesian, there is a common way in order to express it. The pattern is "Subject + Adjective" as like as English. For example:
- Kamu cantik. -- You are beautiful.
- Rumah itu besar. -- That house is big.
- Kucingnya putih dan lucu. -- Her cat is white and funny.
Here is some adjectives :
- Besar -- Big
- Tinggi -- Tall
- Bagus -- Good (for things)
- Baik -- Kind/Good (for person)
- Cantik -- Beautiful
- Tampan -- Handsome
- Rendah -- Short (for person, building)
- Pendek -- Short in size
- Kecil -- Small
- Tebal -- Thick
- Tipis -- Thin (for things eg. Paper, book)
- Gemuk -- Fat
- Kurus -- Slim/thin/emaciated
- Langsing -- Slim (usually for woman)
- Berat -- Heavy
- Ringan -- Light in weight
- Mudah -- Easy
- Sulit -- Difficult
- Luas -- Wide/spacious
- Sempit -- Narrow
- Senang -- Happy
- Sedih -- Sad
- Marah -- Angry
- Capek -- Tired
