Making travel arrangements

The following words will help you with your reservation and when buying a ticket:

• gare = train station
• train = train
• vol = flight
• aéroport = airport
• aller-retour = round trip ticket
• aller-simple = one-way ticket
• siège = seat

Here are some common questions that you can ask :

• Je souhaiterais acheter un billet pour Londres = I'd like to purchase 1 ticket to Londres

• Je voudrais réserver un billet s'il vous plaît = I'd like to reserve a ticket please
• A quelle heure doit-on arriver ? = At what time should we arrive?
• Je voudrais prendre le vol de huit heures = I'd like to take the 8:00 flight
• Combien coûte ce billet ? = How much does this ticket cost?

At the hotel

Those phrases can help you make your hotel reservations:

• Quels types de chambres avez-vous de disponible ? = What type of rooms are available?
• Je voudrais une chambre pour un couple = I would like a double room
• Je voudrais avoir un lit à une place = I would like to have a twin-size bed
