Thai Subject Pronouns[edit | edit source]

Thai subject pronouns are used to replace the subject noun in a sentence. Below are the Thai subject pronouns:

Thai Pronunciation Finnish
ผม phǒm minä (miehenä)
ฉัน chǎn minä (naisena)
เรา rao me (käytetään myös yksikössä, kun puhutaan kohteliaasti itsestään)
คุณ khun sinä
เขา khǎo hän (miehenä tai naisena)

How to Use Thai Subject Pronouns[edit | edit source]

Subject pronouns in Thai are used in a similar way as in Finnish. Here are some examples:

  • ผมชื่อเอก (phǒm chûuek) = "Minun nimeni on Eero."
  • ฉันเป็นครู (chǎn bpen kruu) = "Olen opettaja."
  • เราชอบกินไก่ (rao chôop gin gài) = "Pidämme kanasta."
  • คุณเป็นคนฟินแลนด์ใช่ไหม (khun bpen kon Finland châi mái) = "Oletko sinä suomalainen?"
  • เขาชอบดูหนัง (khǎo chôop duu nǎng) = "Hän pitää elokuvista."
