Forming Sentences in the Future Tense
The future tense in Burmese is formed by adding the particle kya to the verb stem. For example, the verb kya (to go) becomes kya kya in the future tense.

Using the Future Tense in Conversations
The future tense is used to talk about plans and intentions. It can also be used to make predictions about the future.
For example:
- αα»ααΊαα»ααΊαα»ααΊαΈαα±α¬αΊααΎα¬αα¬αααΊα (kya kya hkang naw maw lar mai?) - I will go there tomorrow.
- αα°αα»αα―αΈαα»ααΊαα»ααΊαΈαα±α¬αΊααΎα¬αα¬αααΊα (thu moe kya hkang naw maw lar mai?) - They will go there tomorrow.
- αα±α¬ααΊαΈαα»ααΊαα»ααΊαΈαα±α¬αΊααΎα¬αα¬αααΊα (maung kya hkang naw maw lar mai?) - You will go there tomorrow.
