Language/Nepali-individual-language/Grammar/Future-Tense
Hi Nepali (individual language) learners! 😊
In this lesson, we will learn about the future tense in Nepali (individual language). We will look at how to form sentences in the future tense, as well as some examples of how it is used.
Forming Sentences in the Future Tense
The future tense in Nepali (individual language) is formed by adding the suffix -हो to the verb stem. For example, the verb stem for 'to go' is जान्छु, so the future tense of 'to go' is जान्छोहो.
The future tense can also be formed by using the auxiliary verb होला. This is done by conjugating the verb होला into the present tense and then adding the verb stem after it. For example, the verb stem for 'to eat' is खान्छु, so the future tense of 'to eat' is होला खान्छोहो.
