A word that qualifies the noun or pronoun is called an Adjective (பெயரடை in Tamil).
There are five kinds of adjectives:
Qualitative (பண்புப் பெயரடை)
A word that describes the quality of an object or person is called Qualitative.

| Ram is a bad boy/ராம் கெட்ட பையன் | Bad / கெட்ட |

Numeral (எண் பெயரடை)
The word that shows the nouns or pronouns in numbers is called Numeral adjective.

Quantitaive (அளவுப் பெயரடை)
The word that describes the quantity of an object or person is called Quantitative adjective.

Demonstrative (சுட்டுப் பெயரடை)
The word that points to which object or person is called Demonstrative adjective.

Color (வண்ணப் பெயரடை)
The word that describes the colour of an object or person is called Colour adjective.

Comparison of Adjectives
The comparison of adjective is done adding the phrases like எல்லோரையும் விட,ஐ விட,எல்லோவற்றையும் விட.The comparison of adjective is classified into positive,comparative and superlative.

Formation of Adjectives
Adding special suffixes with nouns.
