English Malayalam
namaskaaram: general greeting നമസ്കാരം
namaste: general greeting നമസ്തേ
suprabhaatam: morning greeting സുപഭാതം
subh sandhya: evening greeting ശുഭസന്ധ്യ
subharathri: nighttime greeting ശുഭരാതി
sukhamaano: how are you? സുഖമാേണാ?
sukhamaan: reply to സുഖമാേണാ സുഖമാണ്
engnganuṇṭu ninakku : how are you? എങ്ങനുണ്ട് നിനക്ക്?
nannaayirikkunnu : reply to എങ്ങനുണ്ട് നിനക്ക് നന്നായിരിക്കുന്നു
engnganuṇṭu kaaryangngaḷ: how are you? informal എങ്ങനുണ്ട് കാര്യങ്ങഴ?
chorruṇto: have you eaten? ചോറുണ്ടോ?
svagaatam: welcome greeting സ്വാഗതം
akatekku varu: welcome greeting, "come in" അകത്തേക്കു വരു
