Romanian Grammar - Future Tense

Hi Romanian learners! 😊
In this lesson, we will learn about the future tense in Romanian. We will look at how to form the future tense, as well as some examples of how it is used.

Forming the Future Tense

The future tense in Romanian is formed by adding the appropriate ending to the verb stem. The endings are as follows:

Person Ending
I - voi
You (singular) - vei
He/She/It - va
We - vom
You (plural) - veţi
They - vor

For example, the verb "a merge" (to go) has the following future forms:

Person Form
I voi merge
You (singular) vei merge
He/She/It va merge
We vom merge
You (plural) veţi merge
They vor merge

Note that the verb stem is the same for all persons.
