Odia Grammar - How to Use "Have"

ରହିବ (rahiba)

The form ରହିବ (rahiba) is used to express an action that has been completed. For example:

  • ମୋ ପୁରୁଷ୍ୟା ରହିବ (mo purushya rahiba) - I have had a husband.
  • ତୁମେ ଏକ ଗାଡ଼ିଏ ରହିବ (tume eka gaadilee rahiba) - You have had a car.

ରହିଲେ (rahile)

The form ରହିଲେ (rahile) is used to express an action that is ongoing or will happen in the future. For example:

  • ମୋ ପୁରୁଷ୍ୟା ରହିଲେ (mo purushya rahile) - I will have a husband.
  • ତୁମେ ଏକ ଗାଡ଼ିଏ ରହିଲେ (tume eka gaadilee rahile) - You will have a car.

Here are some examples of sentences using the verb "have" in Odia:

Dialogue
