Language/Norwegian-bokmal/Grammar/Future-Tense
Hi Norwegian Bokmål learners! 😊
In this lesson, we will learn about the future tense in Norwegian Bokmål. We will look at how to form the future tense, when to use it, and some examples of its use.
The future tense in Norwegian Bokmål is used to talk about events that will happen in the future. It is formed by adding the auxiliary verb vil (will) to the infinitive form of the main verb. For example:
- Jeg vil gå (I will go)
- Du vil komme (You will come)
- Han vil spise (He will eat)
The future tense can also be used to express probability or likelihood. For example:
- Det vil regne (It will rain)
- Det vil ikke regne (It won't rain)
The future tense can also be used to express intention or desire. For example:
- Jeg vil gå til butikken (I will go to the store)
- Vi vil se filmen (We will watch the movie)
