Nepali (individual language) Grammar - How to Ask Questions

Hi Nepali (individual language) learners! 😊
In today's lesson, we will be discussing how to ask questions in Nepali (individual language). Asking questions is an important part of any language, and it is essential to understand the rules and conventions of asking questions in Nepali (individual language).

Question Words

Question words are used to ask questions in Nepali (individual language). The most common question words are:

  • केही (kehi): "what"
  • कस्तो (kasto): "how"
  • को (ko): "who"
  • कहाँ (kahaan): "where"
  • कति (kati): "how many"
  • के (ke): "which"

These words can be used to form questions in Nepali (individual language). For example, if you wanted to ask "What is your name?", you would say "तपाईंको नाम केही हो?" (tapainko naam kehi ho?).

Question Formation

In Nepali (individual language), questions are formed by inverting the subject and verb. For example, if you wanted to ask "Do you speak Nepali (individual language)?", you would say "तपाईं नेपाली बोल्छौं?" (tapain nepali bolchaun?).

In addition, questions can also be formed by adding a question word at the beginning of the sentence. For example, if you wanted to ask "Where do you live?", you would say "तपाईं कहाँ रह्छौं?" (tapain kahaan rahchaun?).

Negative Questions

Negative questions are questions that are asked with a negative word. In Nepali (individual language), negative questions are formed by adding the word होइन (hoina) at the end of the sentence. For example, if you wanted to ask "Don't you speak Nepali (individual language)?", you would say "तपाईं नेपाली बोल्दैनहुँ? (tapain nepali boldainhumn?)
