严(嚴) yán stern, severe in Mandarin Chinese
Definition
Radical of the simplified form is 一 yī “one”. Radical of the traditional form is 口 kŏu “mouth”. Distinguish simplified 严 from simplified 广 guăng, simplified 问 wèn, and 向 xiàng.
