In this lesson, we will learn about the past tense in Serbian verbs. The past tense is used to talk about actions or events that have already happened in the past.
Formation of Past Tense
To form the past tense in Serbian, we need to add the suffix -о/-ла/-ло to the stem of the verb. The suffix we use depends on the gender of the subject. Here are some examples:
