Possessive pronouns in Georgian
The third person possessive pronouns
The third person possessive pronouns repeat the same kind space exposition as with the personal pronouns. Compare:
single | მისი | ამისი | იმისი |
plural | მათი | ამათი | იმათი |
Actually the prefix “ა-” shows the distance near the first person, while the prefix “ი-” exposes the opposite – far from the first and second person. (Since the second person is a member of a conversation, it is always near the first person.)
Possessive pronouns
my | ჩემი |
your | შენი |
his/her/its | მისი ამისი იმისი |
our | ჩვენი |
your | თქვენი |
their | მათი ამათი იმათი |
