Hi Iranian Persian learners! 😃

Iranians use "Hejri-e shamsi" calendar. Sometimes we call it "Jalali" calendar.

  • Calendar : Taghvim = تقویم
  • Jalali = جلالی

The first month of the year in Hejri-e Shamsi is "Farvardin" and the latest is "Esfand".

As you will see, we have 12 months. First 6 months have 31 days and second 6 months have 30 days. The year is 4 season for us.

  1. Season: Fasl = فصل
  2. Spring: Bahaar = بهار
  3. Summer: Taabestaan = تابستان
  4. Autumn: Paeiz = پائیز
  5. Winter: Zemestaan = زمستان

And at the end, here we have the list of months:

  1. Farvardin: فروردین
  2. Ordibehesht: اردیبهشت
  3. Khordaad: خرداد
  4. Tir: تیر
  5. Mordaad: مرداد
  6. Shahrivar: شهریور
  7. Mehr: مهر
  8. Abaan: آبان
  9. Azar: آذر
  10. Day: دی
  11. Bahman: بهمن
  12. Esfand: اسفند

Happy learning!
