Most Albanians see education as a way to improve their social status and to provide a better life for their families. - The University of Tirana, founded in 1957, is the oldest and largest university in Albania. - In Albania, education is free and compulsory for all children aged 6 to 16. - Many Albanians study at universities abroad, particularly in Italy and the USA.
