Basics of Giving Opinion[edit | edit source]

Giving your opinion is an important aspect of communication. Whether you agree or disagree with a topic, you need to express it clearly. Giving your opinion is easy, and in Telugu, it can be done in different ways depending on the situation.

There are some basic words and phrases which are important to know while giving your opinion:

Telugu Pronunciation English
నేను neenu I
నాకు naaku to me
అనిపిస్తుంది anipisthundi seems like
నచ్చుతున్నాను nacchuthunnaanu I like it
కావలిసింది kaavalisindhi I want it
వస్తుంది vasthundhi coming

To understand how to give your opinion in Telugu, let's have a look at some examples:

Dialogue:

  • నేను కన్ఫిడెంట్ గా మీకు నచ్చుతున్నాను. (neenu confident ga miku nacchuthunnaanu)

(I am confident that you will like it.)

  • నాకు అనిపిస్తుంది కాని ఆనందంగా ఉంది. (naaku anipisthundi kaani aanandhamga undhi)

(It seems like but it's joyful.)

Explanation:

The above dialogue is a simple conversation between two friends. The first person is expressing his confidence that the second person is going to like something. The second person agrees to it and says that it seems like, but in reality, he is enjoying it.

Dialogue:

  • నేను ఆ సినిమాను చూసాను, నాకు చాలా నచ్చింది. (neenu aa cinemaanu choosaanu, naaku chaala nacchindhi)

(I watched the movie and I liked it very much.)

  • నేను కూడా చూస్తాను. (neenu koodaa choosthaanu)

(Me too, I'll watch it.)

Explanation:

The above dialogue is a conversation between two persons discussing a movie they watched. The first person says that he liked the movie very much, and the second person agrees to it and says he will also watch it.
