Simple Sentence - Negative[edit | edit source]
A negative sentence is a sentence where you say “no” or “not”. The word for “no” is இல்லை.
To make a simple sentence negative (reverse the meaning), add இல்லை to the end of the sentence
Ex:
- அவர் காவல்காரன் இல்லை = “He is not a police officer.”
- அவர் ஐந்து ஆசிரியர்கள் இல்லை = “They are not 5 teachers.”
- நான் ஒரு பையன் இல்லை = “I am not a boy.”
