Cultural References[edit | edit source]

Colors have a special meaning and use in Sudanese culture. For example, the color green is associated with Islam, as it is the color of the Prophet's ﷺ flag. Thus, you can see green everywhere in Sudan, in flags and traditional clothes. Additionally, the color white is typically associated with peace and purity, while black is associated with mourning and sadness.
